I was listening to some old podcasts, and I heard talk about the Lunch/Dinner with an Imagineer program. It sounds really interesting, and I'd love to try to do it if it still exists.

Is this program still going on? If so, how far in advance do you have to make reservations? Also, assuming it's still going on, does anyone know how much it is per person?

Thanks!

Here is Disney's info on it:

Dining with an Imagineer

It is still going on and I have heard nothing be good things about it. Just haven't been quite able to squeeze it in the schedule yet.

I've done the Lunch with an Imagineer three times and loved it. It is a very small group, only 8 or 10 guests, so you really need to book it the day it opens up, I believe 90 days out. I was on the phone at 7am for my last one and I got the last spot. I thought it was worth every penny and would do it again in a minute. If you have any questions let me know.

This is a good review and it looks like the guy on the end is wearing a Dis Unplugged shirt :goodvibes

Good review and pictures at that link and I think you are right, that looks like a DISUnplugged shirt!

Funny story, at my second Imagineer lunch, the Imagineer mentioned the DISboards, he asked if anyone was part of any Disney boards like the DIS and when I said I was a DIS'er, there was 4 people together at the end of the table that like snorted and rolled their eyes and then said "Well we are a group from such and such." (For the life of me I can't remember which board they said they were with) and then brought up their board a couple other times and looked at me when they did like they were daring me to say something about their board. It was sooooooooooooo weird.

We did this on our honeymoon and DH & I both loved it! I tried to book it again for last Oct & Dec, but we couldn't get a ressie. It seems like the secrets out about what a great opportunity it is! There are only 8-10 spots available, so make sure that you're on the phone at the 90 day mark.

I did this several years ago and called in a review on a former podcast episode. It was an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend it!! :thumbsup2

I did the lunch in January of 2011 at the Brown Derby and it was outstanding. I can't wait to do it again. The food was wonderful and it was a small group so you had pleanty of time to talk to the Imagineer. I got to sit right next to him during our lunch so that was really cool as well :-)

I did this for lunch at Brown Derby (Bamboo Room) and had a wonderful experience!!

Very interactive & imagineer is willing to talk for what he/she can. i think we sactually went over our time and i loved our goodies.

I highly recommend!

For those that have been, what did you tak to the imagineer about?

Bernie

We did this in 2010 & will be going again this June. It's a great experience. The Imagineer can't talk about any projects in the works but he can talk about projects he's worked on and what it's like to be an Imagineer. Also, they usually give some background on their education and how/why they came to work for Disney. It's definitely worth the time and money.
