Has anyone done this? It looks like a unique opportunity and much more personal than a guided tour. I was also wondering if one must order from a set menu at the Brown Derby for this special program.

Thanks.

Me, DH and DD5 did lunch with an Imagineer for my birthday on February 1. I had read nothing but rave reviews, but I have to say I came away disappointed. There was another couple dining with us who spent the majority of our time talking about their neice who wanted to be an Imagineer. It was really annoying.

Also, our Imagineer was a total disappointment. I was expecting to hear some interesting information about WDW. Maybe some little-known facts or trivia, or about how they come up with ideas for attractions. He didn't tell us anything. I don't even know what his job is! He didn't seem to do anything interesting at all. :confused3

The food was excellent. We had (basically) the same menu as Mister Disney (soup was mulligatawny and we had vanilla bean creme brulee). We were treated like royalty by the Brown Derby staff. But the event can easily be made or broken by the other people and the Imagineer with whom you dine. In the end it felt like a very expensive meal we shared with some extremely boring strangers.

Thanks for the advice!

I don't suppose an AP discount is available for this experience is there?
