Does anyone know when the menu changes over from lunch to dinner at the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian? Also, do they close for any amount of time to change over?

Thanks!:goodvibes

*sigh* okay, I guess it remains a mystery.;)

Here are the hours I found from the menus on WDWinfo.com:

Hours: Breakfast 7:30am - 11:30am; Lunch 12:00pm - 3:00pm; Dinner 5:00pm - 10:00pm

Thank you so much. I didn't know they had menu links! It looks like they close from 3 to 5. Thanks again!

Yes, they shut down the kitchen exactly at 3 p.m. so if you are having a late lunch and have some "requests" they can't honor them. We LOVE Kona but had a disaster lunch when we arrived at 2:30 for our adr and it took forever to get our food. When we realized that they had put the cold salads under the heat lamp (the plate was assembled but we were not done with our appetizers) they could not "recook" the meal that was spoiled. We were offered fast food from the snack bar. Since we were on the dining plan they charged us, but I wrote a letter and got the money for that meal refunded PLUS a free lunch in the future (I did not ask for this, they offered). They made it right, but it was frustrating that day. I still LOVE the place, though.

See that it what I was afraid of because we were looking to book a late lunch. I really didn't think that they closed down in between, rather that they just switched menus at 5pm.

We've stayed at the Poly before and never noticed the Kona being vacant. But then again, we were so caught up in our Disney love, that I am sure we were not paying very close attention to Kona crowds.

I really appreciate the advice.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes
