I asked a week or so ago, but didn't get any bites (bad pun intended  )...anyone know of a good place within walking distance of the ship for lunch in Nassau? Preferably Bahamian cuisine, for a group who enjoys all kinds of food? Thanks!

Don't really know of any good Bahamian food because we did not eat in Nassau, but I do know they have a Hard Rock Cafe within Walking distance. There are also several other restaurants within walking distance, some looked more decent than others.

Also not to sure if they have Bahamian food but like the previouse poster said the Hard Rock Cafe is close to where the ship docks...and I know most Hard Rocks have a variety of selections.

I didn't see a whole lot of decent looking joints near by...but there were quite a few places here and there. But then again...we wern't looking for any place other than the HRC...We knew before we docked we were going to go there.

We had a wonderful lunch at Conch Fritters. We asked our tour guided at the end of our tour and this is the place he recommended. The food was fantastic, nice view from the big airy open windows on the second floor. Wide variety menu. Medium prices. We all enjoyed it very much, me, hubby and daughter (22). We would definately go their again.

It is kitty corner from the straw market, very easy to get to.

We also had wonderful filipino food at a small restaurant right beside the strawmarket.

I like the Crocodile Cafe. It overlooks Bay Street, and has a nice variety of lunches and frozen drinks. It's fairly cheap.

We looked at Hard Rock Cafe, but it was really expensive, so we went back to the ship and had lunch there. We went back later to stroll around.
