Going this September. Arrive Friday morning and going to be hungry lol (going to Animal kingdom late afternoon/evening for dinner) Thinking about a sit down lunch at Disney Springs because there are so many new places and it is near our hotel. I already checked and Art Smiths Homecoming has no availability. So other than that, what would be your recommendations?

Gosh, Disney Springs is almost an embarrassment of riches these days, with more to come. That is not a complaint!! Homecomin’ is great so if that becomes an option, I’d recommend it. But I also really like Raglan Road, Frontera Cocina, Boathouse (particularly the outside dock bar) and Wine Bar George. All of these spots have bars so that can be an option for walk-up seating, depending on your party size and preference. I also think almost all the Disney Springs sites hold some spots for walk-ups. Many (but not Homecomin’) also accept reservations through Open Table and can sometimes see more availability there than the Disney site.

Agree with poster above, so much to recommend at The Springs! Agree with recommendations and adding Paddlefish, Enzo's Hideaway and Polite Pig.

We went to Homecomin on Monday for lunch. The MDE app said there were no available reservations, but we walked in and they took us immediately (around 12:30). We split a meal and had our own desserts and it was fabulous! I would poke my head in, even if the app says that nothing is available. You never know.

We walked in to Homecomin ' around 12:00 on a weekday last year. Nothing was available on MDE but we got seated in a few minutes. With a DS restaurant it is worth stopping by to see if you can get in. Especially during lunch or early dinner . If you can't get in try the Boathouse or Raglan Road. There is always Wolfgang Puck Express which is a QS but they bring the food to you after you order.

Many really good options.
We enjoy Raglan Road, but the dancers and bands often are not playing at noon. Also the Polite Pig was very good, if you like BBQ.
