Depending on where you are in the world there will be a lunar eclipse on Wednesday, Feb 20th (in the United States) and the 21st (for non U.S. Folks).

More info on NASA

Hopefully I can get out into the cold to get a shot.

My luck we will have the usual NE Ohio overcast sky.

Thanks for the notice about though!

Here is a less than optimal image of the eclipse last March, taken from the parking lot of a restaurant. Yes, I excused myself from dinner for a few minutes to run outside and take some photos! ;)

Hopefully I will be in a better spot this time!

Thanks for posting!! We'll be in Mexico for the event and I can't wait to get out and see it; maybe take some photos too;)

Bob, that's pretty good. I've yet to be able to get any decent lunar eclipse photos. Much less while trying to shoot it during dinner!

I will be in Sarasota, FL during this and it will be the last nigth of my 50-500mm rental! :cool1: That should be a good lens for it, I think. Can't wait!

Nice Andy. With that length you should get a good sight of it. I've taken some with my zoom at 300mm and it good, but 500 would be much better. Looking forward to seeing what you can get.

I'm not sure if I'll get anything this time around. Thats kind of late for me especially when I have to get up at 4am on Thrusday morning.

I wish you luck. We have missed the past two due to clouds. We should be known as the cloud and rain state instead of the sunshine state! :rotfl2:

Thanks for posting that info. We'll be at The Fort that evening, and it will be great to see it above the campfire.
