Hey, everybody. :wave: I'm starting a new journal here on the WISH today. . .it's been awhile since I've had one, but it's helped me stay on track before, so I'm back to give it a try again!

My name is Erin. I'm 45 and I need to lose 40 lbs.(again:rolleyes1 ) My plan is not anything new--it's just my attempt to blend some of the aspects of my life into one big "healthy living plan."

Here's how it looks each day:

1. Devotions--I read/pray at the beginning of each day.
2. Meds and Vitamins--I need this written reminder to get the job done!
3. Water--I try to drink 6-8 glasses per day.
4. Exercise--my goal is to exercise at least 20 min. each day.
5. Food Log--I'm trying to get back in the habit of WRITING IT ALL DOWN! I'm also going to try counting points (without going to WW meetings, since I have all the stuff and I have WISH for support!).
6. Scale--I get on that beast every day to see where I'm at.

It'll be two years ago in April that I walked with Ocean City Half Marathon with MelanieC and DoeWDW. . .it's hard to believe I'm looking at the same body!

My exercise goal is to walk a minimum of 20 min. each day on the treadie or with DH. My weight loss goal for the month of January is to lose at least 5 lbs. and get back to ONEderland (-5 will be 198 for me).

I'm off and into the New Year!

I stayed on track for most of the day. . .that is, until I got home from work. I have some upper GI issues, and I'm not supposed to eat in the evening before bed, but I was so hungry, I had some saltines. Now you wouldn't think saltines would be a problem, would you?:confused: But, they were, and I paid for it.

Anyway, my Healthy Living Plan is outlined below:
1. Devotions :)
2. Meds :) /Vits--not yet
3. Water--have started
4. Exercise--:)
5. Food log--have yesterday almost complete; I'll start today's in a couple of minutes.
6. Scale--will get on before I shower.

OK, so that's the scoop. Today I'll work to have my eating DONE by 6 p.m.
Also, I'm going to have very bland foods.

Michelle, I think I'll stop over there at the WW thread. Weight Watchers has always been the best plan for me, but I just don't want to spend any more money at those meetings! At Christmas time I bought myself a points pedometer, points calculator, and their walking program--I just need the support of my WISH friends!

Here's the plan for today:

4. Exercise--first day of TOM; think I might bag the exercise today.
5. Food--took in 24.5 points yesterday. Breakfast today was oatmeal, banana, and almonds for 7 points. Lunch will be chicken breast and brown rice, snack will be a cheese stick and an apple. Unsure about dinner right now.
6. Scale--:) 200. Right now I'm 204/200/164. One more pound 'til I get my new clippie! :banana:

Moving on into the day--

4. Exercise--I'm going to get Mickey out for a walk today.
5. Food log--breakfast was a minibagel w/pb and some banana.
6. Scale--:)

That's the healthy living plan for today, and I'm sticking to it!

Guten Tag Erin,

How are you today? I'm not sure if I spelled that right or not. When I was in 7th grade, my English teacher taught us some very basic German. I can still remember all of the numbers and the greetings, but I can't remember how to ask where the restroom is....:rotfl: (That's one of the first things our French teacher taught us... She always said, "You'll never know when you need to know how to say it! ;) )
