I'm reading conflicting information on the optimal amount of weight to put on the tires. I've seen some that say you need some weight to move efficiently, but others that say too much weight can make them difficult to maneuver. Trying to figure out if it would be best to have my kids (ages 8 and 12, about 60-70 pounds each) ride with each other or with one adult. Opinions?

I think it really depends on your movement. Between DH and I, we had some weight going on in there. If we leaned too far to one side, we grounded out. You really just need to find your center and then just a slight lean will get you moving. We did build up a good speed if there was no one in our way. We've only been once and I can't wait to go again now that we know what we're doing.

We didn't go on but watched our kids who are 15 and 18 go on together (we also obviously watched lots of other people too!).

They managed ok but we noticed that smaller kids on their own seemed to struggle and some larger occupancy didn't seem to be moving much either. I would have thought that yours children may be a little small and one adult each with a child would work best.
