luggage transfer

Hi!

We only have one more week! I remember a year ago asking a million questions to all of you about booking

We are staying at Pop Century for one day and heading to SSR. Will they transfer our luggage from PC? We will not be heading over to any parks that first day. Just grocery shopping and resort hopping. We're in no hurry so we could do ourselves. Just checking

My understanding is that Disney will transfer luggage from any of their resorts to another for free (other than tipping). You just arrange with the bell services when you're there.

If you are buying perishables, they will store those in a refrigerated area at the SSR bell service area if your room is not ready when you check in.

I've done this twice-from a value to DVC once and from a value to a deluxe the other. Both times was the exact same procedure-I took my luggage to bell services and told them which hotel it was going to. Note: taking it to bell services myself was my choice, they'll come to your room and pick it up, but it was easier for me to wheel it over there (solo-one suitcase). Then I went to the bus stop and headed to fun at a WDW park. At the end of the day, I just took the bus heading to my new resort, checked in, called bell services from my new room, and within 15 minutes-there was my suitcase! Very easy.

I have done this also for a land-sea-land vacation. We usually fly in a couple days prior to our cruise and had our "not needed for cruise" luggage forwarded from VWL to BWV for our stay after our cruise with out any issues. I wouldn't leave any valuables, but it sure lightens load!

We have transfered our luggage a numerous of times including perishables. Call bell services and let them know ahead of time that you will be switching resorts and they will accomodate you. This last vacation we statyed at the bcv and then went on a cruise and then back to ssr and they held our luggage and all our refridgerated items then transfered them from one resort to the other after our cruise...

We transferred luggage from the Contemporary to BCV and it was a great experience. Very simple and efficient. They have a time slot in which they tranfer all luggage and they will let you know when it will be there.
