Luggage Transfer Question - Split Stay Online Checkin

So I've only done this one other time, where we went from the Dolphin to BLT and had our luggage transferred. We got to BLT around 6 and called for our bags and it took around an hour.

On Friday, we are moving from the Dolphin to Pop. I was going to ask them to transfer our bags. We plan on going to MVMCP that night, so I wouldn't expect us to be back to the resort until late. If you do online checkin, can they drop your bags in your room? Or will we need to call when we get back to the resort that night? I would just like to be prepared and know what to expect :)

Unless it's changed, you will have to be in the room before bell services will deliver your luggage. The only time (AFAIK) they will put luggage in your room without someone being there is when it comes from DME. If there's been a recent change, hopefully others will post that information.

Thanks for the info. We've only had two stays, the Dolphin/BLT and once at Pop, but we only had carry-ons that time and a late flight so DME wouldn't have taken our luggage anyways.

This is correct, you have to be in your room and call down, you could stop by bell services on your way in and pick them up yourselves though.

In an interesting turn of events... just got to Pop after MVMCP. Stopped by the desk with our luggage ticket and they said they'd send the bags up. I did online check in. Got up to the room and our bags were in there already :confused3
