luggage transfer after a 1 night stay

we are staying 1 night at maybe POP july 3rd before our check in at SS on july 4th. the next morning checkin at SS would be easier without having to deal with luggage that next morning. we only will need our overnight bag so it would be easier to just do it this way. do you have to bring your luggage over to the next resort or do they do it for you?

They will do it for you but make sure you have everything with you that you think you will need as they don't bring it over until late afternoon. Most resorts start luggage transfers around 3-4pm (sometimes later).

The day we switch resorts is the only day we actually have backpacks in the parks!! We normally use fanny packs, but when we switch resorts we like to have a little extra stuff...like bathing suits or maybe fresh socks. If you check-in at the new resort around 10 a.m. you most likely won't be able to get into your room until 4 or so. We like to have a swim in the afternoon, so we head out to a park after checking in and then return around 3 or so and swim for a bit. By then our rooms is usually ready.

I do this all the time, ever since I bought into DVC.

If you've stored your luggage with Luggage Assistance (aka the Value
resorts' name for Bell Services), you can arrange for them to transfer
your luggage to Saratoga Springs.

If your overnight bags are easily carried, I'd suggest you bring them to
Luggage Assistance and arrange for any stored bags and your overnight bags
to be transferred together. They always tell you that the bags get
picked up anytime between 1pm - 3pm.

At Saratoga, it's like Old Key West, in the respect that you'll get a ride to your building after you get your room number and luggage.
