Luggage to Stateroom?

We are first time Disney cruiser and have a quick question. We are using DCL transportation from WDW to port and were wondering if our luggage will be in the stateroom when we are able to get in? Thanks

Luggage is left in the hall in front of your cabin. It may be there when cabins are available (usually around 1:30) but usually shows up some time between then and supper.

Luggage can be delivered as late as 4-5:00

In other words: Bring your swim wear or anything you'll want before an early seating of dinner in a carry on.

Since the stateroom hosts are busy cleaning and otherwise getting the staterooms ready for the new cruisers prior to 1:30, luggage delivery usually doesn't start until 1:30 or after. As mentioned, it will be placed outside your stateroom. I've gotten bags as early as 1:45 and as late as 5:00.

This is good advice. Also, be aware that if you have more than one bag, the bags may not arrive at the same time. It's common for us to get one or two bags delivered soon after entering the room, with the rest arriving one or two at a time over the next few hours. You will need to check outside the room periodically, since with so much hall traffic it's difficult to know when deliveries are made.

We usually have ours fairly early. In fact I am almost always unpacked before the lifeboat drill (4:00). Once we even had them all at 1:30. This past August was the latest it has ever been. We were still getting bags after the sail away party.

Last week on the Magic we actually had all our bags outside our cabin by 2:00. It was great. I unpacked right away. We sailed out of NY and got to the port around 10:15 or so and dropped our bags with the porter. We didn't board until about 11:50 or so.
