Hi there,
Does anyone know if there is a quicker way to get
luggage to room? Can arrangements be made ahead of time?
Seem to take forever on our last trip.
Thanks

Are you talking about delivery from MExpress? If so, you can always pick up your own luggage before heading to the bus. They can put your luggage under the bus during the drive. That way your luggage is with you upon resort arrival. Just remember to NOT use the yellow ME tags on your luggage.

One great advantage to Magical Express luggage delivery is that passenger don't need to be/wait in the room for luggage. It automagically appears in the room up to three hours after the guest checks in (assuming the room is ready, of course). Experienced air travelers know to pack whatever they'll need for the first 24 hours in carry-ons.

As advised above, DME passengers can certainly avoid using the luggage delivery aspect by not attaching the yellow tags. This, of course, delays the guest at the airport; while everybody else from the plane is boarding the buses, you're heading to or waiting at the luggage carousel.

And while Disney tips the CMs who deliver DME luggage to the rooms, guests who pull their own luggage are responsible for tipping everyone who assists with their luggage.

Above is true, but its what we do when we go. We each have one average size rolling suitcase. We stop by baggage first to claim our bags and then proceed to the bus. We do tip the driver as he or she will stow the bag under the bus. We handle our own bags at the resort, so no bellmen to tip. We prefer to do this because 1.) we like to unpack and get everything settled before we head out, so we don't want to wait for luggage deliver and 2.) we had a bad experience with a lost bag (more than one time and not in Orlando), and now we prefer to know straight away if our bag is lost so we can deal with it at the airport. The added 20 minutes of grabbing our own luggage at the airport is no skin off our nose.
