Luggage Tipping?

Do you tip at Bell Services when you drop off your own luggage there? How about when you pick it up there yourself? When it is brought to your room how much do you tip? It used to be $1 per bag, but what now? And do you tip the bus driver who takes you to your resort or to the airport? Again, what is a good amount? Thanks for the advice!

$2 big bag/main suitcase, $1 small bags. Tipping when you drop off/pickup yourself is completely up to you, some do and some don't.

I tip the bus driver if they store and retrieve my luggage.

I don't usually tip if I am taking the bags myself and dropping at bell services.

When they drop the bags at my room, I always tip $1-2 per bag (depending on the size). Just came back from boardwalk, I had 4 carry on bags but some groceries, and decided to tip $10 when they dropped everything at my room

I would not tip the bus driver unless he had handles my luggage

Any time someone else handles my bags at the resorts, I tip. When I drop off at Bell Services, when I pick up, if they bring something to my room, if the bus driver loads/unloads my bag, etc. I usually do at least $2 per bag but often, since it's just me and usually 2 bags, I just tip a $5.

I tip whoever touches my bags. If I drop off 2 bags at bell services to store them, I tip $5 to the person who is putting them in storage (more if more bags). If I retrieve them, then it's $5 for the 2 bags to the person who goes to get them. If delivered to the room, it's more of a tip because it's taking the bell person out of rotation for longer. I might give $10 for delivery. If it's a bus driver and they actually assist with getting bags on and off a bus, I'll tip accordingly when the bags come off. I've had drivers who just open the compartment and watch people load their own bags and same at drop off, then I don't tip. I also tip generously if I use curbside check in at the airport - I want to make sure my bags get on my flight!

Oh, darn! I thought that you meant Luggage tipping....like Cow tipping! I thought there was a new activity at the resorts....and don't think I haven't been tempted in the past! Fun times! Seriously, anyone who moves my bag from "here" to "there" deserves something for their efforts. That's for sure !

We typically order groceries and have them brought to our room, and sometimes store luggage on our way in or out (5 people). I usually tip $10 for each delivery set or $20 if they bring them together.

For an upcoming trip, the only time Bell Services will touch our bags is on our departure day. We will take 1 main suitcase and 2 carry on suitcases to Bell Services before boarding a bus for a park. Is $5 an appropriate tip when we retrieve our bags that afternoon? Seems wrong to not give something, even if we are the ones bringing the bags to them.

That should be fine, you should absolutely tip whoever retrieves your bags. If you are dropping them off, you may tip that person, too (I do) - it's optional, but they are providing a service and I'd want to ensure they are stored safely and properly.

I think it’s appropriate, personally for that amount. I usually only tip when I lick the bags up from BS or when they bring anything to my room. I don’t know that it occurred to me to tip at drop-off but it should’ve (I always tip the valet when dropping off)🤦‍♀️

We tip at drop off and pick up. They’re handling your bags twice.

I only tip when the luggage is delivered back to me.
