I received my magical express yellow luggage tags in the mail with my welcome pack. I also received credit card sized tags that had a pattern on one side and blank white on the other. I've never traveled before so i'm wondering if these are complimentary address tags or are part of the magical express tags?

They are complimentary. Mine had Mickey on one side. The most important tags are the yellow ones because it has the name of your resort which is where they will send your luggage.

Yes, the yellow sticky tags are the tags (and the only tags) you need for ME.

To build on this, we move our flights up from 6pm arrival to 10:30am arrival do we need to inform ME or can we just jump on a bus?

Nope, you're good to go. DME really needs to know the day of arrival. You can call them and give them the new flight info if you want. That way, if something happened to a bag, they would have the right flight info. But, it isn't mandatory.

Any chance you are able to post a picture of your luggage tags (not the DME yellow ones). I'm wondering what this years design is.

TIA :)

I've got the luggage tag on my bag for 4 years now :goodvibes Going again in August and can't wait to get new ones! They are actually pretty durable.

ETA...I meant the small ones, not the yellow ones. That would be inconvenient when I went somewhere other than WDW!

Yeah, the plastic address tags are just for fun. I attach mine every time even though I never check a bag. The plastic straps they come with to attach them are terrible though, so I use one of those little black hair band things.

Just got ours yesterday. DD put her on right away. The design is pretty cool. We are renting a car this trip so no ME ones in the mail.

Just received my tags today. What does "EC" mean?

It means your luggage is traveling to one of the EPCOT area resorts... Beach/Yacht Club (or Villas) Boardwalk Inn (or Villas)

Other Resort's yellow tags will have MK, AK or DD designations - and the Mickey head will be a different colour...

Are these mailed in the same envelope? Asking because we got our yellow luggage tags for DME but not the credit card sized ones.
:confused3:confused3

I just received mine and I think they look pretty cool:

The "paint flecks" are slightly embossed so the card has a little texture.

Thank you for posting a pic of the luggage tags. Looks like they are the same as last year. :)

We got them when we went in January. Booked through a TA, and we had massive ice storms and lost power for over a week, right up to Xmas Eve. We departed jan 2nd and we didn't have anything show up before hand cause of all the backlog with the mail. They arrived when we were gone so we actually have a nice souvenir from the trip!

I love this year's version!

Seven days from right now we'll be on the way to the airport :cool1::cool1:

Yesterday I got our a black sharpie, and wrote my husband's cell phone number on the back of each of our plastic tags. And tied a brightly colored bandanna to teh handle of each of our suitcases.

There are 2 big bins in my living room with stuff that has to go into someone's suitcase-- toiletries, ponchos, misters, new socks...

A little (???) housework, some packing, and we'll be good to go!

They don't need the arrival day, all you need is to be listed on the Resort Reservation. But that means stopping at the Desk to get a voucher printed up.

If you have DME listed on your Reservation, then you are good for the length of that reservation. You can show up at the airport scan your voucher/MB and they put you on a bus.

The bags are handled by another company called Bags Inc. And as far as I know they just divert all the luggage with the yellow barcode tags on them. One thing to watch is make sure the Airline people don't try to pull it off on check-in. I've had them try a few times on check in because they think it's airline routing from another trip. (they are basically the same, one is yellow, and one is white.)
