We have always stayed at Value Resorts and this is our first time staying at a moderate.

We'll be arriving about 1:30 pm and then will head straight to the parks, then Hoop De Doo, then probably Adventurers Club for a bit.

So, will our bags be waiting for us in our room at POFQ when we finally slide into our room at 2am, or will we have to call someone?

At the values, they have always been waiting for us in our room.

Thanks,

Carol

If they do it at the values I'd be pretty sure that they will do it at the moderates. At least that's what I'm hoping.

If your room is ready, they will let you check in when you arrive. Then you wouldn't have to worry about your luggage.

This was how it was done the year before Dixie Landings changed to Port Orleans Riverside:

I checked in about 11 am, my room was not ready yet, so they stored my luggage, while I spent the day at Epcot. They had me call after 4 pm just to see what my room number will be.
I got back to my room at about 10 pm, my luggage was not there. I had to call bell services to deliver my luggage, and they delivered it to my room in about 15 minutes.

Thanks for the answers.

I just hate burning daylight on things like luggage, and checking in, etc., but I guess we'll just have to do that.

I'm almost tempted to just drop our luggage with bell services, and not even worry about checking in until we get back from PI, but not real sure that's a good idea.

This is such a short trip for us, that I don't want to waste park time.

Values have "Luggage Assistance" while the Moderates and Deluxes will have "Bell Services."

Luggage Assistance is a scheduled, non-tipped service. As such, they can pick up or deliver to rooms without the guest being present. (Hence, why your luggage was waiting for you in your room when you arrived.)

Bell Services is an on-demand tipped service. As such, you need to be in the room for them to deliver the bags, so that they can get a tip.

Tyler, if we are staying at POR and moving to BWV, can we just drop our luggage off at Bell Services in the early a.m. before we leave for the day? We want to get over to Boardwalk reasonably early. Or will Bell Srvc. come at any time we ask for? I would still tip either way!

As far as I know, Bell Services is a 24-hr operation... I remember talking to a Bell Captain at an Imagineering seminar that I went to, and he told me he'd often times pick up an overnight Bellman shift at FQ for some extra money.

So yes, give them a call (Potentially the night before, to confirm that what I tell you is accurate... because I'm not 100% sure)... they can pick up your bags, and transport them to the Boardwalk. Luggage Transfers typically happen between 1pm-3pm.

Once again....thanks Tyler. You are very patient with us.
