Luggage on Spirit

We always fly Spirit from Atlantic City to MCO because we never find cheaper rates on any other airline plus we are closer to Atlantic City than any other "local" airport. Anyway my question is I always have to bring my own pillow:rotfl2:. I can't sleep otherwise just a quirk of mine. I can usually just put it in my checked luggage. Well now Spirit has lowered the maximum weight of a checked bag from 50 lbs to 40 lbs and I'm wondering if we might be better off just doing a carry on and pay the extra $2. If I do this though, can I carry my pillow on the plane or does it have to go in my bag. It will never fit in the carryon with our stuff. I'm pretty sure I have seen people carrying their pillows in the terminal so I'm guessing I can just carry it on the plane. Funny too that everybody I see carrying a pillow is female:lmao:

You can take your pillow as a carry on just by itself to fit under the seat....that is no charge.
I would recommend putting a bag or another pillow case on it as it will be on the floor (can't store it in the bin or you will be charged for it. But under the seat it is free).

Doing this you should be fine.
