Luggage Limit

I have been searching around the boards trying to figure out if DCL limits the number or size of bags that we can bring on board. I received 8 luggage tags and wasn't planning to use that many but does anyone know if there is a size or weight restriction? We are not flying so that isn't an issue and I did find the dimensions for the day bag but no luck on checked luggage.

There is no limit on checked bags--you will be issued 2 tags per person but can get more at the curbside from the porters if needed. No weight or size limit. For carry on bags, they must fit thru a standard airport scanner....again, you can bring as much as you want but remember that you won't have access to your cabin till 1:30. Before that, you'll get to carry it!

No limit on luggage on the ship other than you have to store those bags in your cabin.
We did 7 days with two large hard sided suitcases for 2 adults and 2 adult sized children, and we way overpacked.

Doesnt seem to be a limit....we brought a suitcase for dh and I each, one for our 2 boys and 1 small carry on style for my dd. I was able to fit the 2 large one under the bed after we emptied them, and I stored the boys and the dd's in the small armoir by our vernadah.

Nope, just what you want to store in your stateroom. We had 8 large bags and some carryons on the PC repo and it all fit under the bed. That was for three weeks and we dressed up every night for dinner and had pirate costumes.

We got some High Sierra AT3 duffel bags (med & large) which are wheeled but still sturdy even though they are duffels. The nice thing about them is they collapse down to a really thin thickness for sliding under the bed. (I learned that tip from DISers ;)) The large bags stand about 35" tall and we got nary a peep at having 3 of them plus 2 24" bags plus bags of our friends in the adjoining cabin.

BTW we were packed so heavily since it was our first vacation with DS who was 4 months old at the time. A case of diapers is heavy/bulky! (We decided on going with the disposable instead of our usual cloth). Plus, we all were on a 2+ week vacation.

Rule of thumb it to put everything you want to bring in a pile and then take only half of that. They do have washer/dryers.
