Luggage Insurance question

I plan on doing some Scuba Diving on our Eastern Magic cruise and am bringing some of my gear with me. Question is how many of you would purchase additional insurance and does DCL offer such insurance

I thought DCL insurance will cover you luggage if it never makes it there up to a certain $$ amt. The details of the insurance are on dcl.com- I would check there to be certain.
