What is the earliest time you can call and expect luggage assistance to come to pick up bags to be transferred for a split stay? :thanks:

I am curious too as I have a split stay and don't want to spend all day waiting for bags.

Not 100% sure this will be helpful, but I have called baggage services anywhere between 5:30 a.m. -9 p.m. I would not be concerned about calling too early, but I do think there is an hour at which they close.
At the values (don't know about elsewhere) you call for the luggage service and you need to be ready when you call and wait in the room with the bags until they arrive. usually it is around 15 minutes, but be aware that they do NOT give you a time, just "shortly" or "next." so I would not call if in a hurry.

We took our own to LS. With ME it was pretty busy & we were heading to the Bus Stop. And I saw a few people who went & got a lugagge cart so they could take their own, also.

When we were at POP we called the morning of the day we were heading to our 2nd resort. We were told we would have had to call the day before for that morning. We had to get a cart and transport our own.

ok, note to self...call the night before!! Got it! :thumbsup2

That's the problem with luggage services at the values...you can't ask for a particular time...they run pretty much on their schedule. I would actually recommend bringing the bags to them, rather than wait for them to come to you. Also, be sure you realize that you won't see your bags again until past 5 that afternoon.

Also keep in mind that spliting your stay between two resorts is different than using ME.

When transfering between 2 resorts: When bell services brings your bags to the 2nd resort, they won't bring bags to your room unless you're in there. (So if you're in the parks and find out your room is ready, you'll have to find time during the day to go back to your room, call bell services, and stay until your bags are delivered.)

(With ME, they will deliver bags to your room even if you're not in there.)

People always confuse the two, so I wanted to give you a heads up! :thumbsup2

our experience w/a split stay was much different...

we called in the morning (at POFQ) and asked that our bags (ten of them!) be moved to AKL... we were told no problem, just leave them in front of the window in our room and enjoy our day... we went to AK that day, around lunchtime we hopped a bus to AKL to check it out/check in and when we arrived not only was our room ready, but our luggage was already in our room... so maybe 4 hours and we didn't have to touch them... they just "magically" appeared :)

At the Values I've always called the night before (for checkout) and the one split stay I did, and then leave the bags stacked by the window, and they are at Bell Services when I return.

There were also at my second resort on my one split stay in a reasonable amount of time.
