We are on the May 17 Western Med. We presently booked Lucca and Pisa, but were also looking at the Cinque Terre Boat Ride. Any thoughts on which would be a nicer option. We are in our seventies, but do like to walk alot. We always book our port adventures through DCL as it is easier for us. We have already been to Florence several times with DCL. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Lucca is a lovely small town, but CT is amazing. It'd be nice to have some time in the CT villages-is it just a boat ride, or does it stop for a visit?

We spent four days in Cinque Terre a few years ago and as much as I'd like to see Lucca, I'd do Cinque Terra again in a heartbeat. I've been to Pisa and quite enjoyed it (climbed the leaning tower which was pretty cool) but Cinque Terre is quite beautiful. Do be prepared to climb hills, stairs and walk on lots of cobblestones.

Thank you so much. We've also been to Pisa, but never to Lucca. Cinque Terre sounds so beautiful, and we are leaning towards it.

We stayed in Monterosso al Mare a few years ago with the intent on hiking the Cinque Terra but it wound up being in the high 90s the whole time, so instead we took the train to La Spezia and took the boat ride back to Monterosso. It was amazing!

I did a Cinque Terre boat ride with a DCL port adventure in 2016 and it was WONDERFUL. The boat was big enough that I easily got a spot on the top (open) deck for each leg of the journey for incredible views of the coastline. We stopped at two villages — one briefly (less than an hour) and the other longer (I had time to get lunch + dessert in a sit down restaurant on the beach). I don't know how the current offerings compare with that one, but it was honestly one of the best port adventures I've ever done.

Cinque Terre was one of our favorite excursions ever!!! So incredible. It makes for kind of a long day but was well worth it! You get to see pretty views on the bus ride to the place where you catch the boat... and then most of us napped on the way back to port :)

Other than Antarctica, Cinque Terre is the most beautiful place I've been. Don't miss it!
