Luau tip

How much is customary for a server tip at a luau?
I know tipping is discretionary, but as someone that works for tips for a living, I ALWAYS tip, less for bad service, more for good.

P.S.-I know its included in the price at Aulani, but I'm not doing that one, it is $298 more for my party than Germaine's

Heading to luau in a little over an hour and it just occurred to me that I don’t know tipping protocol AND no one answered your question

I kept searching the web and there were some yes and some no answers. I finally emailed the company that handles reservations, but before I heard from them I found on Disney’s website that gratuities were included, which was also the response I got from the reservation company.

If you’re looking for the other kind of luau tip, it’s long. They advertise it as three hours, and including waiting in line, that’s about how long it was. Something to be mindful of, especially with younger kids.

Best Luau Tip:

Try to get a room overlooking the Haleiwa lawn. Then you can watch the luau from your balcony multiple times, all while enjoying your own food and drink!

I was looking at the luau link on the Aulani site, and it does not show any available dates until January 2023. Is the luau at Aulani interrupted until then?

I see availability even this week, multiple dates on Oct and forward. There are two links on the aulani site- preferred and general. Preferred is limited but there is far more general seating available

Thanks, mom2aidanNpiper! I guess I was just looking at preferred seating, and assumed if it was not available, luau was not running. That is really useful to know.
