Luau availability?

We're considering booking a late May trip to Aulani and I'd like to see Disney's take on the luau but the schedule only shows availability on May 4th. Does anyone know if they have a wait list in case of cancellations? Thanks.

They took my name for a cancellation but it never came through. I was super sad to have to leave the resort where there is a luau to go to another. But all in all I’m really glad we went to paradise cove. It was between that chiefs and we went with paradise cove because of the proximity. My kids loved the cove cards and the freedom to pick whatever they wanted from that store . The show was fabulous. Our driver from hele hele/platinum who drove us from the airport to Aulani said her nephew is one of the lewd fire dancers and so naturally it’s her favorite show on the island. I’ve been to three different luaus in hawaii (2 on Oahu. The other was Germaine’s) and this was far better than the other in my opinion.

Chief's is also outstanding and very close by. 5 minute drive at the most.

Chiefs was definitely my second choice. We would have just Uber there if needed. But we went with PC based off proximity and we wanted a beach background for the luau.

I've seen (and performed in) a lot of luaus so I just specifically wanted to see Disney's version this time around. But I appreciate the suggestions in case I do decide to check out a different one. Thanks.

I called, hoping to get on a cancellation wait list, but was able to score the last two preferred slots on my arrival date (not sure why the calendar was showing no availability)! Thanks for all the suggestions!

Yay! I was just coming here to say try calling, as I called today and was able to get general admission tickets for a date in May that wasn’t showing online. Glad you got your tix

Me too! I was able to get our entire party of 10 booked for general seating on Tuesday, July 12th that wasn't available online either.
