In all our trips to the world, we have never eaten at LTT. I was considering making reservations there this time, but can somebody tell me a bit about the place? I know I can get the menu online, but how is the atmosphere, food, etc? Thanks!:p

The atmosphere is colonial - think Williamsburg, VA, if you've ever been. When you check in you are in a big room with wooden floor, fireplace and benches and you wait until they call your family: "The ____ Family from 'your state.'" The food for dinner is served family-style at mostly big round tables. The characters at dinner are dressed in colonial attire. The first three times we went the interaction was the best, but this past time we found it a bit rushed.

We haven't done lunch, but we like the dinner food. It is especially welcome near the end of the trip when we have been eating a lot of "restaurant" food, because we find it much more like home-cooking. We love the rolls and the salad with strawberry vinaigrette. The only thing we didn't like were the new veggies which are a root vegetable mix and ours were so undercooked that we could not put a fork into them. I guess we should have asked for a replacement, but we were getting too full anyway. They used to serve baby carrots in a glaze which were better. The mac&cheese is stouffers like you buy at your store and which my kids love. I think my kids ate the most food here of any meal we had in the world. We have never had room for dessert.

LTT is one of our favorites places to go. We especially enjoy lunch there. The food is very good. You do feel as if you are in colonial times. It's a great choice. Give it a try!

Thanks for your input. I think we will give it a try!

Tig-girl, PLEASE don't miss this place. It is wonderful....classic Disney. The atmosphere alone....the colonial building, the colonial outfits worn by the servers (and the characters!!)...the charm, it is outstanding. The turkey is very good...as was mentioned, brought out on big platters...as much as you want.
We went on a very hot day and the unlimited lemonades were terrific! It is absolutley our favorite place to eat (Mom, Dad, three kids).
