LTT or Cape May Cafe

Cape May breakfast is awesome! LTT menu doesnt do it for me

See my problem with Cape May is that our reservation is for 10:20 which KILLS our morning ya know? But my kids INSIST on a breakfast with Goofy and those characters.....we have planned two days at Magic Kingdom and that is the second day there that we'd be going in late. Arrgh I don't know what to do!

We always do the Cape May breakfast on the last morning at our resort. I hate getting to the parks late, just isn't worth it.

It seems as though your decision is based characters not food quality. I'm in the midst of the same sort of decision process and I've been doing a lot of research on Character meals. :surfweb: So far we're booked for CM but I'm still trying to decide if we should go to Ohana or CP or Tusker House or.... The only ones we're definitely not doing are the princess meals (3 DS pirate:13 pirate:9 pirate:6) .

If it's just that your kids want a character meal with Goofy have you considered switching locale and/or timing of your character meal? According to what I've read there are character meals at other locales such as Tusker house in AK and the Swan/Dolphin that are not supposed to be as hard to reserve as the Cape May character breakfast or CM that feature Goofy. Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker house features Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey while the Swan and Dolphin have Goofy traded off at a variety of times mixed with other characters. Allears.net has a list of all character meals and which characters appear where/when. Allears also has reviews of the meals and character interaction.

Since my kids don't care where they see the characters just that they see them and the thought of missing half a day at the parks would drive me insane I personally would go with LTT and look for a different character meal.:confused3

I thought that LTT is no longer a character meal after the beginning of JAN?

You're right. Taken from the LTT page on the WDW website: "Effective January 5, 2009, the Liberty Tree Tavern will no longer be a character dining experience. "

Definitely Cape May!! The food is wonderful, the character interaction is great, and the service is great!! This is DD17's favorite meal, enough that we have to do it multiple times each trip!!! :rolleyes1
