A source informs me that LTT lunch menu will be undergoing changes in October (no exact date, but sometime before the end of October).

Here are the changes that I remember:

1)The Sandwich Heard around the World (Turkey panini) will be going away. A blackened fish sandwich will be replacing it.

2) With the new fish sandwich, the Fresh Catch Salmon dinner will be dropped from the menu.

3) The crab cake appetizer may or may not survive.

4) The William Penne Pasta will be modified in some manner.

5) The chocolate cake dessert will be changed into a chocolate brownie sundae.

6) The Liberty Shortcake (made with biscuit) and Butter-Griddled Pound Cake will be combined into one dessert choice, a traditional strawberry shortcake made with pound cake.

Popular items such as the Pot Roast, Pilgrims Feast turkey dinner, and Colony Salad will remain the same.

At this time, I am not aware of any dinner changes, other than the price increasing one dollar to $28.99.

NO! NO! NO!

not the crab cakes!!!

my DH will freak if they remove the crab cakes!!!!

(pretty soon all the menus will be identical: boring, generic, bland.)

Hi, Thanks for posting this info! I am so GLAD they still have the Colony Salad(I always get this!) My family all LOVE the Pilgrims Feast. Joan

OMG, NO CRAB CAKES!!!!!

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO and did I mention NO!!!!

They can NOT remove my beloved crab cakes from the menu, it's just freakin wrong. The crab cakes are what makes lunch at LTT so special. Dangit, why does everything that is special and good at the restaurants have to be removed?

I was feeling bad about changing our lunch ADR that I had booked there over to CS during our upcoming trip, but I don't guess there will be much that we would be missing without the crab cakes. :sad2: Maggie

My understanding is that the crab cake is indeed popular, so i was surpised to hear it mentioned as*possibly* being changed. As my original post said, it may or may not survive. I'll update as more info comes in. Don't mourn it just yet :-)

Well, I hope the crab cakes survive for your sake, Suzi, but even if they don't it hardly equates to "all menus being the same." Things change all the time. And the changes hinted at are hardly the same all over WDW.

LandBoatRide, is there a new chef? We met Wendy once when we were trying to figure out carbs in the steak fries for my diabetic son and she was absolutely wonderful! Lunch there is very good.

I hope this is just a rumor. We planned on going just for the butter griddled pound cake (and I was planning on getting the panini). Oh well, we have too many sit downs anyways. We'll just have to wait and see.

But if the rumors are true, it seems like some of the more interesting items will be gone (at least the more interesting items to my taste buds :goodvibes ).

Yikes! Crab cakes and the butter pound cake are two of my favorite things on the menu. William Penne Pasta is my daughter's.

Hope it doesn't change TOO drastically!
