I have an ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern before the Halloween party on October 12th and I am a vegetarian. Do any vegetarians (I'm lacto ovo) have any experience at this restaurant? Thanks!

I am a fellow vegetarian

We love eating at LLT!
We ate there about 2 yrs ago and I asked our server if they had anything vegetarian and I was asking how the potatoes were made (chicken broth? water? milk?)

She brought out this dish called "amber waves of grain" It was VERY good and plenty too! I could not eat all of it.
I also had some of the potatoes (the chef at the time said they were veggie friendly) and some of the mac and cheese.
Of course I saved room for the cobbler and ice cream too ;)

We are going back to LLT on 10/2 for the Halloween party. I can't wait to go back. You will have PLENTY to eat popcorn:: Just tell your server you are vegetarian.
You should have no problems

The Amber Waves of Grain wasn't my favorite dish ever, but it was good and it certainly was LARGE. They also gave me a salad to start - that cracked me up because the server brought it, then noticed the note that I was veg and took it away, then asked if I'd eat it before bringing it back..... um, it's salad, dude, and all veggies. He was nice about it, just a little confused, and we all laughed about it. Of course, there's always dessert, which can make up for a lot. :)

I'm a vegetarian & LOVED LTT in Aug. I didn't tell the server I was a veggie or ask for anything special. I ate the salad, bread, mashed potatoes, green beans (yummy), mac & cheese, & the AWESOME apple cobbler. I was stuffed & enjoyed every minute of it!

Thanks for all the positive reviews! :thumbsup2 Can anyone explain exactly what amber waves of grain is?

It's on their lunch menu, here is a description:

Amber Waves of Grain - seasonal market fresh vegetables cooked with New Colony grains and an herb-infused sauce

We seem to have been there during unofficial WDW Salt week; my Amber Waves was waaaaaay too salty and my friend encountered similar salt fetish during the week. However it would normally be something I would enjoy, by the looks of it.

My server DID offer to try and dig up something else, but I suggested that a chocolate dessert woudl do just fine for lunch instead (and it did!)

Hmmm...I am allergic to bell peppers and squash, think I can eat the amber waves of grain? I think I will be fine with all the side dishes if not. I guess I am just a complicated girl!

I am not sure about the peppers but I don't remember any squash in it. I don't like squah so either it wasn't in there or I picked it out ;)

I would ask or if nothing else you will have plenty to eat with the sides. The green beans were very good (fresh not out of a can)

Just save room for the apple cobbler and ice cream

Thanks for the post and the replies. DD is vegetarian and we have ADR's @LTT for the 1st time on upcoming trip. I think she'll enjoy it.
