Our family is planning a "quick" trip to Magic Kingdom Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 8-11. Thus far, the lowest rate I have found is $46 at Comfort Inn, Davenport,Fl. It has gotten very good reviews from folks. The key is "cheap", on this trip. Our oldest daughter, Emelia, has been to Disney 2x already but this will be first trip for Caitlyn, 2. We are thinking of surprising them and just hopping in the car and going. Appreciate any suggestions or discount codes I may be able to utilize.

For a short trip, a Disney value, which includes free parking, would be fine for me. In addition to looking on the disney site, I would check out travelocity and expedia as well, as sometimes they have rooms for less.

For around $50, you should be able to get a good place via priceline.com or hotwire. Check betterbidding.com or biddingfortravel.com. I see some people getting the Embassy Suites for that.

I would also look on ebay and see if someone is selling a timeshare rental at cheap price that fits your dates. Sometimes you can get a tremendous bargain this way. Wyndham Bonnet Creek is my favorite, but there are others.

Happy hunting!

Check out the La Quinta Inns. We are staying at the one near Universal the same week as you. $65/night and u get free breakfast.

I just checked and you could get a value for those dates with the 25% GP discount for 86.25 per night. That would give you free parking at the resort AND parks (which saves you $14/day) or access to free shuttles if you prefer not to drive. You could also take advantage of the extra magic hours if you wanted.

There is also a Fairfield Inn in Marriott Village which has fantastic review and a free continental breakfast about 1 or 2 miles from Disney that is $62/night with AAA discount. They have refrigerators in the room, free internet, and free onsite parking as well.

How many actual nights in Orlando? Friday, Oct. 8-through Monday, Oct 11?
As others have said, why not check with CRO at Disney first for one of the values? No parking fees.

The other motels mentioned by others are also good values. Are you going to spend all days at Disney World? Expedia has Pop Century at $86.25 as other poster said.

I can vouch for this place. We stayed there two nights this past August before we switched over to Animal Kingdom Lodge. We actually got a cheaper rate than that with a special Marriott was running for $49 a night, but they might not have it anymore. (We're Marriott Rewards members, so that might have been part of the deal.) It was super clean and really close to WDW. Nice pool area, food court downstairs with a Pizza Hut, Wing place, Starbucks (I think), and an ice cream station. It's really close to other off-site restaurants, etc. as well. I would prefer to stay on-site, but if you can find a really good offer (or if you think you're doing a lot of "off-Disney" things) it could be worth your while. We've stayed at Pop Century twice, and it was great being on property. The rooms just got a little tight for us as the kiddo got older.
