Lower Fare on Southwest?

What is the closest before your trip that you have been able to lower a fare on your Southwest flight? We leave on July 28 and return August 12. We booked our return trip for $99 and more recently it has been $119. I would love to be able to lower that fare. What has your experience been? Thanks!

Doesn't SW usually have a big sale after July 4th? I can remember in the past some flights going for 49/one way for late July and Aug travel. Not sure if it is going to happen again, though.

You should be able to switch your flight up to 24 hours prior to leaving - maybe even less. I'd say you're more limited by changing your accomodations than you are the flights.
