My question has to do specifically with attractions that have the moving sidewalks/platforms to board the ride vehicle.
My mother can walk on her own and is against any type of wheelchair or scooter. (Frankly her vision is too poor for a scooter anyway.) She also has very little strength in her arms and legs. (Two years ago she already struggled to get out of the It's a Small World boat.)
She still wants to experience some of these things, but I'm worried about the loading/unloading process, particularly due to her slower movements. Do I indicate this to the boarding cast member, as they might potentially need to slow the belt? Or do we use the wheelchair line? How might I indicate this when disembarking? (We are in no way trying to jump a line or cut down our wait time. We will use FastPasses or not do this at all since standing for long periods of time easily tires her.)
She has previously fallen twice in MK, so we are both trying to do all we can to stay safe! Any/all insights are appreciated!
