DBF and I bought a Canon SD630 tonight. We did a lot of research and it seemed to get good reviews, we tried it in the store and it seemed great. We got home to try it out and the LCD screen was horribly grainy, although the couple pictures we took came out fine.
We drove back to the store and took another look at the display model and ours looked nothing like it. So we brought the camera back in and were told that low light conditions will cause the LCD to be grainy or blurry but that the pictures will not be affected. Of course it worked fine in the store.
They also told us that the air conditioning can affect the LCD, something about the moisture in the air?
I've never noticed this before with my other digital cameras, but they also have much smaller LCDs so maybe I just couldn't tell.
Is this a normal problem?
