Low key family friendly quick meal

looking for a few suggestions to grab a meal at one of the resorts. It's just me and my DS3 and DH...
We are staying at the Bonnet creek for 3 nights and our last night I kinda wanted to keep our options open.
The night before we are headed to DTD to eat at T-Rex (we have ressies). Earlier in the day we have a character meal at Chef Mickeys.

So for this meal I'd like to have no set time - so probably counter service (although it's in November - we may not need ressies at all sit down restaurants)...

We would like to tour a few resorts - thinking Wilderness and the campground - we may even end back over at AKL to see the animals....

I like all kinds of food - my DS will eat most kids stuff but also enjoys seafood and pasta... (DH is easy too).

I think the best quick sevice for resort is the poly the food is realy good and it a nice place to eat. It was remodled recently and it looks really nice.

A casual sit-down restaurant is Beaches & Cream over at the Beach Club. They don't take reservations so no set time needed. You can then explore the Boardwalk afterwards.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL is always fun. But only if you enjoy lots of activity and interaction.

POP and POR have the best counter services IMHO. They both have some great lunchtime choices.

Another two great places, that are not counter service, but very good for lunch is Turf Club at SSR and Olivia's at OKW. I found the Turf Club to be one of the best kept secrets; I sat out on the patio two afternoons and almost had the place to myself. You can take the water taxi or walk over to DTD and do some shopping afterwards.

And at DTD, EOS and WPE are also very good and you can catch a dessert sundae at Ghiradelli's afterwards.

I will agree that Whispering Canyon is a good meal and a lot of fun, but if you're wanting "quick", you might opt for lunch there instead of dinner. Our dinner there took over 2 hours.

I love the Boardwalk area, so I'd probably say ESPN Club. My son and husband are sports nuts, so they like to go in and grab appetizers as a quick snack.

I think if you are staying in the Bonnet Creek area you should definately check out Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. The food is terrific and its very reasonably priced. The menu is more sandwiches, salads, and soups but you could definately eat dinner there too.

There's a great create-your-own-pasta meal at the counter service at POR (I had penne shrimp alfredo, with a few veggies thrown in), and also a tasty turkey and dressing meal. We eat there whenever we go see YeHaa Bob in the RiverRoost Lounge -- your DS would get a kick out of his sing-alongs!
