First off, I want to thank all of you that have answered HHI questions. :D Your input and suggestions have made a world of difference in our trip planning. As a matter of fact, we were so inspired...we added another day onto our trip. :teeth:

We are getting the recreation schedule for next week faxed to us today, but are still unsure about the dolphin tours. I've read about Scott Henry's Low Country tours, and that he is possibly back with Disney now. How can I reach Scott Henry to book a tour? Why do you guys prefer his tour over the Disney tour? What should we expect from either tour? There will be 5 of us. The kids are 9, 7, and almost 2. Any suggestions or advice on the dolphin tours?

Thanks again! :D

Alicia - this is the phone number I wrote down for Scott at Low Country Tours: 843-683-0187. We plan on booking his company when are at Hilton Head next month. Have a great trip. I thought I read somewhere on this board that his company is now the one Disney uses for their dolphin cruises but I'm not entirely sure.

We have never gone on a dolphin cruise before and I plan on using Scott's company because of some of the positive comments on this board so I can't give you any detailed info. Maybe someone else can.

Both times that we visited HHI we took a dolphn tour with Commander Zodiac at the South Beach Marina. They are a pretty big operation, but they use Zodiac rafts, which hold a maximum of 6 people plus the driver, and ride low in the water. This gets you very close to the animals.

They were wonderful trips, and on the first one a dolphin actually hopped halfway into the boat! On our last trip, the captain let the girls (5 and 9) pilot the boat for a little while. They were so thrilled! Plus it gives us a reason to visit South Beach, which is a really cool area. If you go, have lunch at the Salty Dog Cafe.

Scott Henry is now operating Low Country Touring for Disney. Disney definately knows a good thing.

Scott worked for Disney in 2001 exclusively doing Disney's dolphin tours. In 2002, Scott ventured off to start Low Country Touring. I don't know how it came to be but Scott now is working the dolphin tours for Disney again. Scott recently sent us an email indicating the change.

Our personal experience has been that Scott really puts in 150% into his tours. We toured with him three summers in a row and have been in awe each and every time. We were not aware that Scott was not doing the Disney tours in 2002 and had a terrible experience with the crew Disney had doing them. Scott has more than made up for this. We will continue to do our tours through Scott because we know we won't be disappointed. The number posted in another reply is correct for Scott.

Have a great trip to Hilton Head.
