Great news! Thanks for the info!

Thanks, DM!! Nowadays, restaurants know that this is a big money making menu!

Oooooo
Definitely going to be trying those scallops in May, low carb or not.

MsDis and MIB999999 went to Mythos last Saturday and tried the low carb menu.

MsDis had the seared scallops to the more well done side by her request and MIB had the shoulder center cut filet. Both were served with Chef Mark's low carb vegatables.

We did start the meal with the hot wings. These are the "drummies" with the meat all pulled to one end and then drenched in a creme and egg white wash and then coated with pork rind crumbs. The presentation for a drummie was a bit unusual but the flavor was really great.

The Scallops were a bit to the small side or they came from a very small sea. They were however very good.
the Filet was very tender and also very good. The vege's were really great and Mark's preparation was great on the spaghettie squash.

After the meal i got to try the mushroom cappacino and that is a real treat for those that like mushrooms

That's great to hear. DH is on Atkins and we're hoping to get down in Oct for HHN!

(HEY MIB!!!)

Mmmmmmmmm... I had the Cedar Planked Bay of Fundy Salmon last August and it was wonderful. Those scallops sound pretty good too. Mmmmmmm...

I am getting hungry! This is great news and great review as well....except for the scallops. Sorry to hear they were so small!

thanks for the great info. Dh and I need it since we just started South Beach and plan to be on it until the summer.

Hi all!

Yeah, the scallops were good, and I'm by NO means a seafood person, so for me to get that and like it is pretty good! The scallops were small though (it was almost like they were sea scallops cut in half:confused: ) and there were a total of 6 pieces. My only complaint with the meal was the portion size. Mythos is generally pretty good with portion and I felt both of our meals were small portions considering there was no potato or risotto or something filling. I think people who don't low-carb may not realize just how unfilling a meal can be when there is no starch. I think the addition of a salad or more veggie (like broccoli, cheap and very-low carb) would make it a more fulfilling meal.
I am definitely glad to see they are taking us low-carbers into consideration though! :bounce:

On a side note, Margaritaville was very accomodating for me, allowing me a veggie and/or salad in lieu of my fries last time I was there. I still love my Cheeseburgers in Paradise!!!

Kudos to Universal for their efforts! :bounce:

(Hey Renee! )
