Low Carb Beer!!!

I have yet to read a post on here about Low Carb Beer...I gotta tell ya...IT WAS (in honor of my PM buddy) WICKED AWESOME!!!

Holy Moly...it tastes just like regular light beer...with only 2.5 carbs...and let me tell you it still packs a nice punch!!!! A Michelob Ultra Light.

It tasted great with my Garlic Chicken Wings and blue cheese (on the side)!!!

Now thats my idea of DIETING!!!! lol

On WW, a light beer is 2 points. Does anyone know if the Ultra's are less points????

DH has been buying Mich Ultra. I find it to be a little too watery, (I like Corona Lite, Saranac Lite and Sam Adams Lite) but if I found out that they are only 1 pt. instead of 2, I'd make the sacrifice .

Wow! That is great that you have found a low carb beer to drink! I have never liked the taste of beer myself, but it is wonderful for those of you that like it!

I don't know how WW calculates points, but Mich Ultra is 2.6 carbs per 12 oz. bottle, and 95 calories. Supposed to be even "lighter" than Miller or Bud light varieties.

For the low-carbers... did you also know that hard liquors (whiskey, rum, gin, vodka...) have 0 carbs? Of course... you have to watch what you mix with them, and watch out for flavored varieties, but what a treat! I hear vodka and crystal light is good. Personally, I like Bacardi Limon with diet whatever. Yum!

Just don't forget... your body will burn alcohol before anything else, so your weight loss will possibly/probably halt if you're drinking in quantity.

I told airhead about this beer a couple of weeks ago but she was so excited about getting to eat pork rinds on Atkins, I don't think she noticed

My dh likes the ultra lite Michelob. It comes in handy for parties or eating out having a beer that is so low carb

Unfortunely for me I'm a beer snob.... I love the dark full favored beers....and most american beers taste like water and I can't even imagine what a low carb beer would taste like...

But I'm glad that there are those of you out there that can enjoy this product...

I certainly DID know that Dizneegirl...but thanks for reminding us...!! I really believe this is why Atkins can become a lifestyle instead of just a "diet". There really are alot of "choices" we can have.!!
