I LOVE In N Out Burgers!!!
I had them for the first time in June when I was in NV.
I so wish they were here in NH!!!

Just thought I would share!! :)

Love them too! If I'm going to spend the calories on a fast food burger, it will be that one. I have one a few minutes from my house so I don't need to go there when I go to DLR. I restrain myself to a couple times a year. :)

I now live on east coast but get to San Diego on business - once I leave the airport and get rental car I head to In N Out for burger and chocolate shake (you knew there would be chocolate right:thumbsup2) The fries are really good too. Of course for more calories get the fries animal style.

Every time I go to Las Vegas to visit family, one of my fist stops is to IN-N-OUT Burger. :cool1:

I know I am treading on thin ice by saying this but...

I think that In n Out is really overrated! I think that if people out west had Five Guys (or my personal favorite Elevation Burger) In n Out would be that place they used to go for burgers... Maybe it was just my expectations being built up over years, but I was very disappointed when I tried them last year...

Anybody else... gulp...

Yes, you have to admit the price is pretty good. We took 6 teenage boys their for my twin boys' birthday and the cost was about $30! They ordered all kinds of "wild style" things. :thumbsup2

I never heard of those other places, but would love to try. I recently went with my sister to Red Robin (don't have one here) and found out they have wonderful burgers too! :)

I grew up in socal. I could walk to IN-N-OUT Burger. It is in my blood!:rotfl::rotfl: Not everyone is going to like everything. :goodvibes

Have you ever been to BOB'S BIG BOY? They have great burgers also. The original one in Burbank was the first to sever a double burger.

Btw, the podcast mentioned that the closest In-N-Out Burger to DLR is on Brookhurst (west on Ball Road then north on Brookhurst). While that one is the closest it might not be the easiest to get to if you don't have a car or a good sense of direction. For that I'd recommend the In-N-Out on Harbor Blvd in Fullerton. You can take the OCTA #43 bus 3 1/2 miles north and get off at the stop just past Orangethorpe Ave which is just a few feet from In-N-Out. Here's a Mapquest map of the route.

One of the littleleague moms that I used to know who has a family of 5 went to DL on a day the park closed at 8 pm. They waited till they left to go home to have dinner and drove through In-N-Out on their way home. She said it was the cheapest thing they did all day. Under $30 for all 5 of them and you sure can't do that in DL. :thumbsup2

Fun Fact - The Bob's here in Burbank is the oldest currently existing one in the country, but not the first Bob's Big Boy. It is actual the 4th one built and opened....

FYI - not popular comment, but I totally agree with John and Kevin - they go right through you...... :scared1: I had one 2 Sundays ago and it reminded me why we don't go there often. Both of us had PI&OS (Post In & Out Syndrome) :rotfl:

some people argue, over New York thin crust pizza, Versus Chicago Thick crust. Im the guy sitting in the corner laughing eating both ! they are both great, i can have more than one favorite burger, they are all different and great.

Yea it cracks me up....I absolutely LOVE Chicago pizza...but in the end if there were pizza sitting in front of me, either Chicago or New York, I'd be eating it. And if someone at the table wants to debate as to which pizza is better that is fine with me too......the more they talk the more I get to eat! ;)

Right now there is only one Elevation Burger, in Falls Church VA, but they are starting to franchise out, I think onbly as far west as Colorado though. They have the same idea as In N Out and Five Guys, everything fresh, simple menu. All of their beef is organic, and they fries are cooked in olive oil!

I can't believe no one has posted In-N-Out food porn yet. OK ... I'll start.

A regular In-N-Out Burger .... Mmmmmmmm.

Three portions of fresh hot fries. To be eaten ONLY inside the restaurant.

OK ... now back to your diets.

exactly ! they can argue, i will eat. I dont see why one has to be the best. There can be a best in both categories i think. Same with burgers, my favorite restaurant burger is the Islands Teriyaki burger, i LOVE it. but my favorite fast food burger is In&out, followed by a great place we have now called Freddys frozen custurd & Steak burger, it is GREAT. it ground up steak for the patty, you can notice a difference in texture, its much better quality meat than standard hamburger meat. They have these around the country im told, but i think its fairly new to where i live. Another one that is very new is Culvers butter burgers, they are pretty good also, i hear they are expanding a lot out west.

Oh, yes! I love In&Out burgers, but we only get them when we travel to California. But....a Freddys just opened in our town....Yay!! They are so good. It's all subjective though; In&Our and Freddy's are my favorite fast food burgers, but for a real burger there's a little Sports Bar a couple of hours from my town that has my all time favorite burger. Yum, now I'm starving. :goodvibes

Thanks for making me drool guys. I miss my In & Out having grown up in southern Cali. :sad1:

Have to go anytime I visit my parents. That and Disneyland.

DH's first job was as a cook at Bob's Big Boy here in San Jose. It is since gone, but I used to love their burgers (also loved their french fries dipped in the hot fudge from the hot fudge cake! :cheer2:)! Their burger is all about the toasted bun, if you ask me.

Love In N Out for fast food. Cheeseburger with grilled onions is my preference.

I am the guy who pretty much orders a cheeseburger whenever we go out...except if it's like a steakhouse or a specialty place. Anyway Culver's was okay, but I wouldn't even say it would be in my top 10. The one thing that made them standout to me was their french fries....I am a lover of the crinkle cut fries.

Also did you know that Ruby Tuesday has all you can eat french fries with their hamburgers? We went there after avoiding the establishment for awhile because we didn't think their value was worth it and once I discovered this I was like YES! I ate so many french fries and only a quarter of my burger and took the rest home for later :)

My fav. all-time burger though is the cheesy bacon cheeseburger at TGI Fridays....pretty much you'll feel like you're going to need your veins cleaned out after eating it, but it's amazingggg. The nearest TGI Fridays is now over 30 miles away....boooooooo........so now our #1 most visited restaurant is Chili's...which still has a great burger and nice fries, but it's not the best.

See, we saw the In and Out Burger chain in San Francisco when I went the summer before last. Remember this was at a time when it was $2 to £1, so (to us) the prices were too cheap to eat! We were wondering what parts of the cow were going in there!! Considering that a decent McDonald's burger in the UK at that time costs about £3.50 to £4 (which was $6 to $8 then) the prices were just a bit too low for our liking!

Plus the name (to us) didn't inspire much confidence, lots of jokes about which way it would be going In and Out!! :rotfl:)
