I already posted about our poor experience at RPR so I won't repeat it here. We had 2 nights (May 4-6) at the HRH. It was wonderful. The pool was a little crowded but not too bad. The water was really warm! We also went over to the PBH's pool and their water was warm too. The water coming down the slide felt like bath water! Lovely! I really liked that we could walk right to the parks from the hotel. That is a big plus.
We ate at Margaritaville (highly recommend!). Good food and with the balloon people and the big tv screens playing music it was very entertaining. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We also ate at Latin Quarter. It was dark and my girls (12yo) were rather shocked at the scandalous dancers on their music videos. The food was just okay. I wished we had eaten at Margaritaville again or tried someplace else.
At the park we ate at Louies (okay), Confisco Grille (great the first day, very slow service the second time around). Also had a HUGE ice cream at the shop on the bottom floor of HRH. Yummy!
There were quite a few loud school groups at the parks and not many families. A lot of convention people at the hotels. A different crowd from the Disney parks. Interesting. With the FOTL pass we had no lines, although neither park really got busy until lunchtime.
