We did the BBB and barbershoppe also and for 7.50 my dd hair was put up with two different color gels and confetti and glitter what a deal!!! We got as many compliments on her hair from Harmony Barbershoppe as we did from the BBB. If you go at noon the quartet is there for photos. Also you can just get confetti and that is free

My kids love this too.

My girls got many compliments and many people thought they had done BBB. Several people told their own kids they couldn't have it done because it was too expensive. They were thrilled when I told them it wasn't BBB and the price.

They don't do any real "styling", but it was fun for the kids and well worth the money. Here's a pic for anyone who hasn't been.

My kids usually get a haircut as well (which is about the same price you would pay anywhere else). The color/confetti is free with a cut.

*Just don't go if it's raining that day-- you can't get the color. It poured every day of our last trip, so my kids were a bit disappointed.

yes I wonder when Disney will get wise and up the prices on this.

We had Seth's first haircut done there and it was fantastic, they were so good with him and the price was cheaper than I pay at the local barbers with the conversion rate.

Cullen didn't need a haircut really but so he didn't feel left out (I think he just wanted to play with the spinning buzz lightyear light thing) he had his cut and they put some sprinkles in it. Which he wiped off when he walked under a rope, roping off something lol.

We thought it was wonderful and would certainly do it again if we ever return.

BBB is too girlie for my daughters but they loved getting the confetti in their hair at the barber shop.

It's a great hidden treasure.

remember, adults can get the haircut, color and pixie dust as well. DH does everytime we visit the MK

How did you wash that out?

There was a thread on this a while back. Some one was recounting their horror story of hanging their kid over the tub with them screaming while trying to wash it out.

I thought it washed fairly easily. Most of the confetti fell off throughout the day, so there wasn't much left by bedtime. I did actually get into the shower with my girls and I just washed it right out with a bit more shampoo than they normally use. I'm sure you could stand outside the shower and just help to make sure it all comes out. My older DD has extremely thick hair and I was pleasantly surprised how easily it rinsed out. (That's why they won't put it on if it's going to rain...)

That's what I was about to ask! There's no little ones in our family anymore, but this is something I've always wanted to do.

We saw many adults and teens getting the color/confetti and they were having a great time. :goodvibes

The adult haircut is also cheap ($17) and the color/confetti are free with a cut.

Do they do kids under 3? The BBB says no to kids under 3 and my youngest will be 2 when we go.

Yes.

They do a lot of first haircuts. They give a certificate and Mickey ears that say "First Haircut". My younger two both had their first haircuts there (DD was 4 and DS was turning 2). They give them stickers and toys to distract them.

Yep - its for adults too!!! I did it on new years eve 2 years ago and it was my bday too!! The whole rest of the day everyone asked me where I got it done!! They were so nice there too!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!

Love this place!!! DS got his first haircut there at age 2, plus some sparkles. I love getting mine done there. If the gentlemen have buzzes hair, they will paint a Mickey head on as well, sometimes with google eyes if you're lucky.

We got DD's first haircut there as well and we LOVED it. I am certain she would not have set still at the local shop but they gave her bubbles and a Minnie Mouse spinner and she sat happily through it. After the CM pulled her hair in a messy pony tail and put a TON of hairspray on then sprinkled her with Pixie Dust. The CM's were so nice and we were the only people in the shop so even though DS didn't get his haircut another CM played with him and gave him bubbles. It was a great experience! And a great value since we have a certificate and Mickey Ears as well as a great memory! Oh and the confetti looked hard to remove but nearly all of it fell out by the time we got back to the resort.

Ignore the date on the picture it reset and I didn't notice it at WDW, LOL.
