5 of us dined at Spoodles and with the exception of DD, who was having a bad day, loved everything brought to the table. We loved the appetizers (flatbread w/dip was one), house bread (especially the olive oil dip), meals, pitcher of sangria, and desserts. The pitcher of sangria has much to do with my not recalling what we ordered as well as the fact that it was day 2 of the DDP (nearly 2 weeks ago) but I am certain that we all enjoyed it. It was the favorite of the group whenever we took a poll this year and last.
Just DH and I dined at Flying Fish. This was our second time here as well. He had the artisan cheese plate ( 5 kinds. I liked the one from the happy cows in Oregon and he liked the blue cheese the best). I had the fabulous crabcake. I ordered the NY Sirloin with the sauce on the side and it was wonderful. Charred on the outside and a perfect medium rare on the inside. DH had the salmon and ate every bite as well as the roasted onions from my plate. The 'lava' cake was good but not the best of breed. DH had the cherry tart and liked it but wished he had chosen something else. We will definitely go here again. We felt that it had the most realistic price/quality ratio. It was pricey but it was what you would pay for this level of quality at home. Tracking the value of the DDP really brought this home to us. We felt that although it appears you 'beat the system' with the DDP, the food is just really over priced and of mediocre and sometimes poor quality in most of the WDW restaurants.
