We just got back from 4 nights at SOG and wanted to report that we had an incredible time :cheer2:

Not one hitch, not one. OK one, I lost my jacket the day the arctic blast came through and froze my cha cha off all day at AK.

SOG was beautiful! We had a quiet room in the new wing which was so big and beautiful, all new, loved it. Our housekeeping was top notch, she gave us extras of everything without us asking. Room service was lightening speed. The front desk and guest services was outstanding and the icing on the cake went to the impecible shuttle service! I was amazed at how smoothly all went especially during the peak holiday season.

I give SOG an A+ :cool1:

Thanks for the review! :flower1:

We'll be checking in on Jan 20.

Did you request the new section or was it luck of the draw? I'd like to get the new section because I understand that it is closer to the parking garage. We'll be using our rental car for everything except MK.

What floor were you on? What was the view from the room?

We stayed at SOG ,in the new section right off the lobby, it was great. This was the first week of Dec. We are planning on going back in Aug. The rooms were very nice and spacious. Can't beat the price for the room size.

SOG looks beautiful. It is good to hear how nice the resort is because they have a lot of very important guests who stay there. :flower1:

The front desk was amazing.....I simply requested that we get a top floor because based on some posts here, I read that the plumbing was loud, so to prevent being woke up by showers and flushing toilets I thought being on the top floor would be best. The front desk attendant didn't bat an eye lash and brought out the resort map and circled all rooms available, she said "You can choose your room if you like" and so we did!! We chose room 5147...on the top floor of the new wing, dead at the end. QUIET is what we wanted and let me tell you, we over-slept a few times. It was great. Our view was pure green, literally, we overlooked the golf course and trees and saw the Epcot fire work show perfectly from the distance. Being so far back however was a trek to the elevator, a walk we didn't mind, and it was very close to the garage.

Hi-
Did you eat at any of their restaurants?

We ate at the Garden Gallery, which was nice. The service was excellent and there was plenty to choose from to dine on and the price couldn't be beat. Evergreen's is more casual, a bar atmophere. I wasn't pleased with their food as much but my kids were just fine and loved the video game section. The Express Cafe down by the shuttle pick up was great for a quick coffee or breakfast. I loved their egg, sausage and croissant breakfast sandwich. Overall where we dined was satisfactory. I hear Mangino's is great but we never had the chance to try it out.
