Loved OKW

If you are looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of Disney during your day & in the evening after a day in the parks try OKW.

We rented points from a DVC owner & absolutely loved it. It is so quiet & relaxing. We had a 2-bedroom & went w/ my parents. More than enough room for everyone. The accommodations were huge.

Renting points was a great option for us. We loved OKW.

It can be dangerous. We have heard many stories of people returning from trips on rented points as DVC members.

We rented points last year & stayed at OKW also. We LOVED it! Even though we were just "renters" and not actually DVC owners, we were treated just as well as the other guests.

The resort is gorgeous....definitely seperated from the hustle and bustle, as the initial poster said.

We stayed in a studio in building 55 and had a quiet pool right next to our building.....just a few steps from our room. It was wonderful. I'd stay there again in a second!

OKW is a truly beautiful resort, it's not my 'home' (That's VWL) but I'm awfully glad I got the chance to stay there last December and the boatride to DTD at dusk is just wonderful!

Tonia - We did not use the bus system, however, I continually saw buses coming & going from OKW, which leads me to believe that they were efficient & stopped at the resort many times.

I don't think you would have any trouble with the bus system. You can also take a boat to Downtown Disney from OKW.

I am one of those who stayed at OKW on rented points and came back a DVC member! Of course my wife and I were really interested and learned almost everything to know about DVC from these boards before the trip so we were easy sells

Anyways we used the buses while ther and didn't have any major problems. The one minor one was coming back from PI after taking the boat over we had a little wait for the OKW bus, but other than that no real waits.
