I just had breakfast while listening to Julie's segment on Epcot with little ones and had to say I loved it. I do not have children (although I'm a teacher abd specifically have taught preschool and K before), but could not agree more with what she said. For years, I've taken the slower pace at WDW thanks to my AP and I frequently visit with local friends who have toddlers or those friends who live far away with little ones. I really enjoy seeing the park through their eyes. And, I couldn't agree more about the monkey backpacks; you do what's right for your child.

Great job, Julie!

I agree. I don't have kids either but found the segment really interesting. I've witnessed parents dragging kids through the parks at midnight during EMH. When you have kids, you need to change the way you do things. Touring needs to be more relaxed. I think if parents consider that, everyone would have a much better time.

I loved the segment too. I love taking my kids to epcot they always find new ways to enjoy the park.

Very interesting. We're well beyond the age where we have to deal with that, but I recall not that long ago bringing our grandchildren to WDW. It was so important to "listen" to your child and know when they were reaching their limit.

Lots of good places at WDW to let a child amuse themselves. Even better, at Epcot some of those places are near by a beer/wine stand.

Between Julie's segment and my daughter's 6th birthday we decided to get the home videos out last night. And of course we pulled out an old WDW trip when my daughter was 2 1/2. I had forgotten what she looked like with those chubby cheeks all bunched up smiling at her favorite characters. That was the most magical trip.

She could do more at age 5 when we went to DL but it wasn't the same as that first trip.

Thanks everyone!!! I really enjoyed talking about our new way of exploring the parks! What Mom doesn't enjoy talking about her children? All the sweet comments really warm my heart!
