The producers and actors (Muppets and others) who wrote and created the new Muppets Haunted Mansion film on the Disney+ streaming service really understand and respect the unique aspects of experiencing the classic Haunted Mansion attraction, in-person, at Magic Kingdom, Disneyland (and the other Disney Parks across the globe!)
The new movie is filled with so many "inside jokes" and clever "take-offs" on the many special aspects of the attraction that we have all come to know (and love) so well!
The jokes (and puns) come so fast that it can take multiple viewings of the new film to catch all of the references to the actual HM ride.
(Even the "please remain seated" announcement that plays when the Doombuggies (ride vehicles) come to an unscheduled stop is featured.)
This is a first-rate Disney Park-lovers filmed take on a great ride.
Everyone in our Disney family loves it!
It's run-time is less than an hour, but has more laughs than many other so-called comedies these days.
Highly recommended.
(And you may want to "hurry baaack" and play it again.)

My particular satisfaction is that the producers and writers of the Muppets film took care to include so many surprising direct references to the actual RIDE.
To the contrary of the many "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies that had a scant few scenes that made connections with the Disney parks' PotC attraction.
(I mean, what was the POINT of naming the films after the ride, if they didn't pay much attention TO the ride?)

BTW, for those who saw it, did the recent "Jungle Cruise" flick (with Dwayne Johnson) include many direct references to the theme parks' Jungle Cruise ride?
(Or did it just have a scant few mentions salted into the script?)

I thought Jungle Cruise had quite a few references to the ride, mostly in the form of jokes.

We loved it here! My 6 year old has always been too scared to go on the Haunted Mansion ride, but he is really looking forward to it for our upcoming trip now!
Same! Both kids loved the movie and are excited to try haunted mansion now!

Our family loved it. We laughed at all the jokes. I loved the haunted mansion ride references tied in with muppet show references.
I'm going to rewatch it in a week or so and laugh all over again.

Good job to those that made this gem.

Yes ! Loved all the ride references, plus the muppet humor was classic too, nothing forced. I've loved the muppets my whole life (both muppet christmas specials are some of my favorites of all time), and this was a great nod to the muppets of old, and the haunted mansion references were so perfect.

as to your question about jungle cruise, not nearly as many ride references, but the humor from the ride is definitely present. The movie is really good, and I highly recommend for a disney fan!

I put it on last night not expecting much. DS7 happened to be in the room. We both enjoyed it.
I grew up watching The Tale of the Bunny Picnic and looked seeing the dog. I never realized he is in other muppet movies. He is my favorite 😍.
Oh bark.

DD4 was asleep so I am going to show it to the kids again. Hopefully it will increase the chances they will be ok with riding haunted mansion in Dec.

I loved this so much. They had Muppets that we don't see as much as we used to. Hey it's Wayne and Wanda. And the screaming goat. Loved Kim Irvine's cameo. Just loved it. I have watched it four times already

I loved it! and the 2 old men floating around in the DoomBuggy!!! Too cute!!

Watched it twice so far--- Pepe was great--- and the inside ride jokes were hilarious !!!
