I wore my "Urban Cowboy" soundtrack 8-track tape out playing that song!!!! (Yes - I am THAT old.) It got to the point where you could hear the song on the other track at the same time. (You know what I mean - you children of the 70's!)

I did not know that song was performed by Boz Scaggs! I haven't heard it in a really long time. I never liked the movie Ubran Cowboy. Maybe I was too young when it first came out.

Boz may be more romantic, but Davy Jones was so darn cute!!! LOL, I can just picture him singing it, holding his earphones on with his hands, while Marcia sat and watched from the doorway with that little knit shawl LOL. Can you tell I watched too much Brady Bunch in my life???? That said, I also saw Urban Cowboy, 5 times in the theater. And, I had many 8 tracks too LOL.

Even the cars had 8-track players. Now my van has a cassette tape player but is CD capable. Every time I dream I have a CD player and press that button, it tells me...No CD player.

I have seen Davey Jones quite a few times in our tiny town. He has a home/recording studio within a few miles of here. He has aged a bit since the Brady Bunch episode.......just like the rest of us!

I was thinking about Christopher Cross today for some reason. I have no idea why that time frame popped into my head.....I must have seen your thread and thought about it.
