Love Bugs

Can anybody tell me when the love bugs are not mating? It was horrible there in September. I could not enjoy the pool.

I went last September . It was really bad with the love bugs. I could not enjoy anything at the pool. I could not eat or drink. I could not even go in the pool. Just awful.

I was at VWL, BCV and AKV September 12 to the 20th, and never was bothered. So, it's not only when but where, and I'm not sure you can actually predict this.

We were there from Sept 18 until Oct 1 and they were horrible at the pool at AKL. But there weird thing was there wasn't any at the pool at BCV.



Just so I don't get flamed, we spilt our stay, we didn't pool hop.

We had a discussion about this a few weeks ago. My wife and I went in Sept 06 and it was horrible. Turns out it was the worst year on record. We are going in Late Sept 09 so I am praying for better luck!

now that year it was horrible. they were everywhere. One of the worst ever. Been going in Sept for 14 years - so it was pretty bad.

Saw somebody mention that May was also bad, we have not experienced an issue in May and we go fairly often around the end of May.

May 07 in VWL is was Crazy bad, but last May wasn't bad at all. I think its somewhat hit or miss really.

You know, I'm glad to see someone else say that. We also have gone many times in May (that's our traditional time for WDW vacation), and although I'd heard about them, I'd never had an issue with them. Then, when I went in September 2006, it was like "No wonder everyone talks about them so much!" They were horrible then. BTW, we always stay at OKW in May and never had a problem there. September was BCV where they were so bad.
