Love Bugs

FYI, Love Bugs are back, not yet in full force, but if you are driving down do yourself a favor and have some window cleaner and some rolls of paper towels handy inside your car.
I started to notice the bugs last week around Disney property.

Yeah, we noticed that they were just starting to appear towards the end of our trip. We arrived on April 28 and they were no-where to be seen. However on the drive back to NC today, the front of our fifth wheel is coated with the critters. What a pain to clean them off the RV.

Got the bug repellent windshield stuff for my less than 4 days old car

Will pack windex and paper towels.

Is there somewhere in the Disney area (actually we'll be staying in Clermont--Summer Bay) I can have my car washed (brush free) while down there? I'll probably see some while there but if anyone can recommend someplace with first hand experience would appreciate it.

Brush Free Car Washes are all over the place, in fact most gas stations have them. FYI, the Hess Station on Disney Property (right across the street from BoardWalk & MGM Stdio Entrance has one.

Our first summer living in Orlando we drove 417N to Sanford, across the Lake Jessup bridge and the love bugs were SOOO bad, we thought it was raining! Then we got to the other side and realized and it stopped... it was then that we realized what we had driven through!

I was just there last week, and yup-they are there, and yup- they are icky!

We saw them too, and had no idea what they were, only that there were 2 stuck together all the time. Dh, my sister and I came up with our own name for them.....close to LoveBugs, but not quite as G rated.

Gross little things. We were when we heard they were "Love Bugs"
