Love bugs at old key west

Hi all just a quickie. I know that the time of year we're going to old key west in September October next year is love bug season. Just wondered if they get a bit annoying if you're staying in a river view roms as they're attracted to water? We're not scared of them but just don't want to request a river view room and regret it!

Love Bugs are everywhere so I don't think the the river makes much difference.

Agreed, when love bugs are in season, they are all over the place. I don't think proximity to the canals have much impact.

And even when they can be all over, they aren't always.

During our September trip, there were reasonable numbers of love bugs at the parks, almost NONE at OKW, but the day we swam at Coronado Springs, it was MISERABLE. They were ALL over the place, I had no peace at all.

Except for in the water, actually. None were in the pool or swimming over the pool. But they were all over the rest of the pool area!

Same day, went back to the OKW villa, no love bugs to be found.
