Lousy Alarm Clock

I actually have one of those old alarm clocks that I bought from Cast Connections a few years ago. Meant to hit snooze the other day but I accidentally turned off the entire alarm. Fortunately, my son's iPod alarm for school went off so I heard him the minute his feet hit the floor above me.

The phones can even do this too
As they say, there's an app for that

I’m sure there is an app.

I like the convenience of something that stays on my nightstand and I don’t have to mess with. I think the quality of the light/sound is better too. But when traveling I don’t really miss it. A phone is perfectly fine.

Disney hotels are the only ones I've stayed in that don't have alarm clocks in them. Even our very swanky, expensive hotel in Toronto had an alarm clock in it.

We have an alarm clock at home that also displays the time on the ceiling in the dark. We keep our phones out of the bedroom. We also have small travel alarm clocks we bring with us. They are useful on our cruises.

We too still have an alarm clock--rarely does it go off before we are awake, but it is good to know it is there. During our October trip, we asked for and received a small alarm clock for our room. It was brand new and still in the packaging. We do not leave our phones on at night and have never used them for alarm clocks to awaken. I also like a nice bright alarm clock to let me know that I am wide awake far too early and need to stay in bed and attempt to go back to sleep.

With regard to those who suggested the wake up call from the resort--that wasn't working in our October 2020 (BC), May 2021 (BC) nor October 2021 trips (BC). We would set an alarm and never receive a call OR you would get a message that the system was down, call the front desk to arrange a wake up call OR you would set up with the front desk as requested and not receive a call. The calls we did occasionally receive over the three trips were not from characters, but merely a ringing phone with no one on the other end of the call. Disappointing.
