Hi, was just checking Tikiman's website and saw a lounge picture in Tahiti. Is it still there and do the other longhouses have one? Thanks, leaving this Thursday and staying at the Poly!!!

Do you mean a lounge, like a bar? The only bars that are at the Poly are the Tambu Lounge next to O'Hana in the GCH and the pool bar.

No it looks like an area at Tahiti where there are some chairs and underneath it says lounge. I don't mean where there is a bar. I think it had been the concierge at one time and maybe this area was left? Maybe I am very confused, think I will look at his website again. Thanks for any help though.

The other two newer longhouses have small lounges on the first floor...that is Rapa Nui and Tokelau.

I know that Raratonga, Nuie, Samoa, and Aertorea....oh, sorry everyone but I don't know how to spell that one! :earboy2: ...do not have lounges on the first floor at any rate. I don't remember Fiji having one either.

Last week, some posters said all the longhouses have them. If this is correct, the lounges in those older longhouses must be on the upper floors. My guess is that they just assumed that all longhouses had them.

Tonga and Hawaii have concierge lounges.....although I've never seen the one in Tonga.

The lounges in Rapa Nui, Tahiti and Tokelau are all just small seating areas. In colder weather, my DH has enjoyed the one in Rapa Nui to read after the rest of us have conked out for the night. :faint:

Hope this helps a little although I know it is hardly definitive. :sunny:

I've seen the one in TOnga, it's quite small...maybe the size of the area in Hawaii where the food is before you get to anyplace to sit. There's a concierge CM stationed there with a desk, an "offerings" area that looks like it has the same items but less in quanity, and a couple tablnes and chairs. No TV/Seating area. Wish I had taken a photo :(

The photos in Tahiti are of the sitting area that is on each floor and it has always been there. Rapa Nui has one and Tokelau has one on each floor if I remember correctly. Fij has an area at the ends of the longhouse and I thought Aotearoa had something at the end. I don’t remember anything in Tuvalu or Rarotonga but Rarotonga has a nice deck on the second floor that connects to Niue to sit out on. Samoa has no sitting area in the building. I think that is all of them.

Aloha

Thanks everyone. We requested Samoa for this Thurs but will look at the lounges for any upcoming big family trips. That would be nice for others to go there to wait while some are still getting ready. I am soooo excited, it is just me and my dd daughter (28 years).
