Lounge Chair Mama's - Resort Pools

We are true Disneyites........go about 3-5 times a year since it opened. Just found a two day ticket from '77 - a total cost of $16.50 (adult). We've stayed everywhere, eaten everything and so on. In June we were at POP, AKL, BWV and HH...it was a long month. My 29 yr. old son coined a new phrase on this last trip. It was Lounge Chair Mama's. It described Mom's who sat by the pool, semi-watching their children misbehave in the pool, stand up and yell at them, and then sit back down to sun bath, talk, etc. They never actually got in the pool to remove the misbehaving children, or removed the children from the pool and the children continued to misbehave once the parent sat back down. This is not to be confused with people that send their "older" children unsupervised to quiet pools, evenings are especially bad, and leave it to the parents with small children to supervise them.

I've seen this happen at plenty of places (beach, pool, park, etc). Some parents don't get that they are supposed to be in charge of their own children. I can't tell you how many times I've had to help or reprimand someone else's child because their parent wasn't around at the time. In most cases, the parent is busy gabbing with other adults.
